Mrs. Beglan earned a B.S. in Biology and Secondary Education from Towson University. She teaches Biology I and Honors Biology. She is an advisor for the class of 2009.

Mr. Bongiovani holds a B.A. in Biology from Western Maryland College. He teaches Honors Biology I, Biology I, Biology HSA Remediation, Human Anatomy, Honors Space Science, Honors Earth Science, Terrestrial Environmental Science, and Aquatic Environmental Science.
Mr. Tim Durkin || TJDURKI@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mr. Durkin is the Department Chair of Science. Mr. Durkin holds a B.S. from Loyola College and an M.Ed. from the University of Maryland College Park. He teaches Honors Conceptual Physics and AP Physics. Mr. Durkin is the Central Maryland Physics Olympics Coordinator and Host. He is a National Board Certified Teacher whose certification is in Adolescent/Young Adult Physics

Mr. Fritch teaches Conceptual Physics, Physics, and Earth and Space Science. He holds a B.A. in Physics and Secondary Education from Clarion University.
Mr. Gary R. Fuhrman || GRFUHRM@CARROLLK12.ORG Mr. Fuhrman holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Maryland College. He also received a certificate in Environmental Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He holds a teaching certification in Chemistry and teaches Chem I and Honors Chem I.
Mrs. Deborah Mathias || DVMATHI@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mrs. Mathias is a graduate of the University of Maryland at Baltimore (B.S. in Medical Technology) and Western Maryland College (M.S. in Education). She teaches Human Anatomy, Honors Human Anatomy, and AP Biology. Mrs. Mathias is the Science Club advisor.
Ms. Stacy Nolan || SANOLAN@CARROLLK12.ORG Ms. Nolan holds a B.S. in Chemistry from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Towson University. She holds a teaching certification in Chemistry and teaches Chemistry Il and AP Chemistry this year. Ms. Nolan also coordinates SAT testing at Liberty.

Ms. Renner is the lab aide in the Science Department.
Ms. Elizabeth Schap || EMSCHAP@CARROLLK12.ORG
Ms. Schap holds a B.A. in Biology & Comm Arts from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and an M.A. in Teaching from Towson University. She teaches Biology, Ecology and APES. Ms.Schap also advises the Ski and Snowboard Club and Environmental Club.

Ms. Williams earned a B.S. in Biology from Gettysburg College. She teaches Chemistry and Biology. She is the Head Coach for Indoor and Outdoor Track.
Dr. Mark.Young || MDYOUNG@CARROLLK12.ORG Dr. Young earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Western Maryland College in 2004 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University in 2009. This year he teaches Chemistry I and Honors Chemistry I. He also serves as the advisor for the Robotics Club FTC team.
