Mrs. Brenda Bosnic || BGBOSNI@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mrs. Bosnic is the chairperson of the English Department and a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, with a B.A. in English and Politics, and an M.P.A. from the College of Charleston. She is presently pursuing a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College and has studied and lived abroad in England and Naples, Italy. Mrs. Bosnic teaches Honors British Literature, Twentieth Century Novel, and Creative Writing. As a long time member of the Eldersburg community, she enjoys her role as an advisor for the Debate Club.

Mr. Michael D. Flemming, Jr. || MDFLEMM@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mr. Flemming is a graduate of Western Maryland College with a B.A. in English and a minor in Education. He has his Masters equivalency and is working on his Masters Degree at McDaniel College. Mr. Flemming teaches Honors 20th Century Novel, English I, Modern American Literature & Composition, and Multicultural Literature & Composition. He is the head coach for both Varsity Wrestling and Varsity Boy's Lacrosse.

Ms. Mary Thayer|| MMTHAYE@CARROLLK12.ORG
Ms. Thayer teaches Reading.  She did her undergraduate work at Hollins College where she earned a B.A. in English.  Her graduate work includes earning her M.Ed from the University of Houston in Reading as well as additional coursework at the University of Virginia. Ms. Thayer has extensive training in alternative reading programs and holds National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist.

Mrs. Michelle Singer || MLSINGE@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mrs. Singer teaches English I, Creative Writing, and Public Speaking. She is a graduate of Towson State University where she earned her B.S. and from Western Maryland College where she received her M.Ed. She is co-sponsor of the Multicultural Club and Book Club.

Mrs. Trisha Deen || TSDEEN@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mrs. Deen (formerly known as Ms. Szymanski) holds a M.A.T. in Secondary English and a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from Mount St. Mary's University. She is presently pursuing a Master's in School Library Media from McDaniel College.  This year Mrs. Deen teaches Honors Global Perspectives, AP Literature & Composition, Public Speaking and is the Yearbook adviser. Mrs. Deen is a liaison for Education that is Multicultural at LHS and is co-advisor of the People's Club.

Miss Jessie Dixon|| JKDIXON@CARROLLK12.ORG
Miss Dixon is a graduate of Goucher College with a B.A. in English, and is pursuing a Master's of Liberal Arts at Johns Hopkins University. She teaches Global Perspectives, Honors Global Perspectives, British Literature, and Humanities. She is co-advisor for Writer's Club and Destination Imagination.

 Ms Christina Delcher || CNDELCH@CARROLLK12.ORG
 Ms. Delcher graduated from Loyola College in Maryland with a BA in English and a minor in secondary education. She has taught English in Bangkok, Thailand, and currently teaching Honors Survey of American Literature, AP English Language and Composition, Honors Global Perspectives and Global Perspectives. She advises the National Honor Society and Dance Club and co-advises the Class of 2014.

Ms. Janice Rollyson ||  JMROLLY@CARROLLK12.ORG
Ms. Rollyson holds a M.A.T. from Mount St. Mary's University in Secondary English and also received her B.A. in English with a minor in Rhetoric and Communications from "The Mount."  She is trained and certified to tutor students with Dyslexia and/or Language-based Learning Differences using the Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory reading approach. This year she teaches English I, English I Honors and Global Perspectives. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Rollyson also serves as a co-advisor for Liberty's Writer's Club and is the Assistant Coach for the Women's Varsity Soccer Team.
