Mrs. Brenda Alexander || BAALEXA@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mrs. Alexander teaches Honors Survey American Literature/Composition and Global Perspectives. Mrs. Alexander did her undergraduate and graduate work at Towson University where she earned a B.A. in French and English and an M.Ed. in Reading. Mrs. Alexander is also a published author.

Mrs. Bosnic is the chairperson of the English Department and a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, with a B.A. in English and Politics, and an M.P.A. from the College of Charleston. She is presently pursuing a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College and has studied and lived abroad in England and Naples, Italy. Mrs. Bosnic teaches Honors British Literature, Twentieth Century Novel, and Creative Writing. Mr. Simao Drew || SJDREW@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mr. Drew is a graduate of Salisbury University, where he earned his B.A. and M.A., and he received an M.A.T. from Towson University. Mr. Drew teaches Gifted and Talented Creative Writing through the Upper Chesapeake Center for the Creative Arts. He is also an adjunct English professor at Frederick Community College. At Liberty, Mr. Drew teaches Shakespeare, Creative Writing, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Language. He is the advisor to the National Honor Society, the Ski Club, and No Holds Bard, Liberty’s Shakespeare Club.
Mr. Michael D. Flemming, Jr. || MDFLEMM@CARROLLK12.ORG
Mr. Flemming is a graduate of Western Maryland College with a B.A. in English and a minor in Education. He has his Masters equivalency and is working on his Masters Degree at McDaniel College. Mr. Flemming teaches Honors 20th Century Novel, English I, Modern American Literature & Composition, and Multicultural Literature & Composition. He is the head coach for both Varsity Wrestling and Varsity Boy's Lacrosse.

Ms. Thayer teaches reading. She did her undergraduate work at Hollins College where she earned a B.A. in English. Her graduate work includes earning her M.Ed from the University of Houston in Reading as well as additional coursework at the University of Virginia and extensive training in alternative reading programs. She also has taught a number of graduate reading courses at George Mason University, George Washington University, and Johns Hopkins University.

Mrs. Singer teaches English I, Creative Writing, and Public Speaking. She is a graduate of Towson State University where she earned her B.S. and from Western Maryland College where she received her M.Ed. She is co-sponsor of the Multicultural Club and Book Club.

Mrs. Deen (formerly known as Ms. Szymanski) holds a M.A.T. from Mount St. Mary's University in Secondary English and a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from Mount St. Mary's. This year Mrs. Deen teaches Honors English I, Honors Global Perspectives, Honors Film & Lit, and is the Yearbook adviser. Mrs. Deen is a liaison for Education that is Multicultural at Liberty High School.

Miss Dixon is a graduate of Goucher College with a B.A. in English. She teaches Honors Global Perspectives and Humanities. She is also an advisor for the Class of 2011.
Ms Christina Delcher || CNDelch@carrollk12.org
Ms. Delcher graduated from Loyola College in Maryland with a BA in English and a minor in secondary education. She spent the past year teaching English in Bangkok, Thailand. She is very excited to return to teaching in the USA at Liberty High School where she will teach English 1, Honors survey of American Literature, and Creative Writing.
Ms. Janice Rollyson || JMROLLY@CARROLLK12.ORG Ms. Rollyson holds a M.A.T. from Mount St. Mary's University in Secondary English and also received her B.A. in English with a minor in Rhetoric and Communications from "The Mount." She is trained and certified to tutor students with Dyslexia and/or Language-based Learning Differences using the Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory reading approach. This year she teaches English I and Honors Global Perspectives.
