Mr. Clowes graduated from the University of Maryland, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science and Geography.  Mr. Clowes has a B.S. in Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.S. in Educational Administration and Supervision from John Hopkins

Ms. Ruthanne Kenney, Assistant Principal || RAKenne@carrollk12.org
Ms. Kenney earned her B.S. in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State College. Ms. Kenney earned her M.A. in Education from Regent University and her administrative degree at Cambridge College. Prior to Liberty, Ms. Kenney taught at East Hartford High and Founders School at Becket Academy in Connecticut, as well as Deep Creek High School and Winters Mill High.

Mr. Scott Lavender, Assistant Principal || SMLaven@carrollk12.org
Mr. Lavender has a B.S. in Public Administration from George Mason University and an M.S. in Human Resource Development/ Educational Leadership from Towson University. Before coming to Liberty, Mr. Lavender served as Assistant Principal at Francis Scott Key High School and taught as a special education teacher in Howard County and New Jersey.

Mrs. Alice Rau, Administrative Facilitator || AMRau@carrollk12.org
Mrs. Rau is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent Mathematics. She received her BS from Western Maryland College, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in secondary education. Her MS in Administration is also from Western Maryland College. Mrs. Rau has taught mathematics for 16 years at Francis Scott Key High School.
