Liberty High School School Counseling Department Mission and Vision
Mrs. Kelly Hamilton- klhamil@carrollk12.org - Counselor A-E
Mrs. Hamilton is a School Counselor, School Improvement Chair, and Debate Club Coach at Liberty. She has been a counselor for ten years serving here and at North Carroll Middle School. Prior to working in Carroll County she taught AP U.S. and AP European History in Harford County. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Towson State University and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel).
Mrs. Taylor has been a school counselor at LHS for one year. Previously, she worked as a school counselor at Shiloh Middle School for seven years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Lehigh University and her Master's degree in School Counseling from Boston University.
Mrs. Nappier has been a counselor at Liberty for 5 years. Previously she worked at Francis Scott Key as an instructional assistant and Career Coordinator. She earned a B.S in Psychology from Towson University and an M.S. in Counselor Education from McDaniel College.
Mrs. Quinn has been a counselor at LHS since 2006. She is currently the Department Chair for the School Counselors. Mrs. Quinn has also been a counselor at South Carroll High School. Before working in Carroll County, Mrs. Quinn also was a counselor in Middle School, taught 8th grade and 2nd grade.
Mrs. Quinn attended Loyola College (before it became Loyola University in Maryland) and has a B.A. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in School Counseling.
Mrs. Horneman is currently the Crisis Counselor at LHS and has been working here since 1998. She studied at Towson State University and earned a B.S. - Social Science and Johns Hopkins University earning a M.S. in Counseling

Margaret C. Harris - mcharri@carrollk12.org - HSDOP Coordinator for Liberty High School
Ms. Harris earned her B.S. in English/Education, an M.S. in Special Education, a C.A.S.E. in Clinical Counseling and Therapy, and was admitted to and attended the doctoral program at The Johns Hopkins University. Her area of study was Cognitive Behavior Therapy with Adolescents. She also taught as an adjunct professor at JHU, and worked with children in the Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry program at Hopkins Hospital, in conjunction with her doctoral work. Most of Ms. Harris' career in education has focused on working with adolescents and special needs students.

Mrs. Farver has been working at Liberty since 1995.
Mrs. Linfield has been at LHS since it opened, with the exception of a 3 yr. leave of absence when she worked for the University of Maryland as a 4-H Extension Agent. She has a BS degree in Agriculture Education from WVU, a Masters in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in science from Western MD (now known as McDaniel College) , and also has earned her Masters plus 30. Ms. Linfield is also an agriscience teacher as well as leading the LHS FFA.
