Tips for TARAs (Teaching Assistants, Resource Aides) is a website created to provide a resource for instructional assistants and resource aides to gain and share instructional and behavioral strategies in an effort to better assist the teaching staff, and ultimately attain success in the education of Carroll County students.

Within this website, you will find links that will connect you to information about Carroll County Public School Benchmarks and Best Practices to better understand the goals and objectives CCPS is trying to attain. There are strategies for working with mainstream academics, behavioral issues, cultural diversity, and learning-challenged children; sample practice sheets, what you can do to do the best job possible, and inspirational essays that have been submitted by administrative staff, instructional assistants and resource aides throughout CCPS.

So come on in and browse a while. We hope to answer any questions you may have, offer some strategies that you can use, and assist you in your efforts toward a successful and meaningful experience instructing Carroll County students.
