Parents are an important component in helping a child reach his or her potential. This fact is just as true for a gifted child as it is for any child. Just because a child is gifted does not mean he or she will be better adjusted, more successful, or happier than any other child. Quite often the opposite is true. Parents must be involved to help ensure the gifted child has a happy and productive life. There are a number of ways parents can help their grow and reach their true potential. However what may work for one child may not necessarily work for another.
