About Us

Hampstead Elementary School, opened in 1985, is located in the northeastern part of Carroll County. Our students live in the town of Hampstead and the rural community that surrounds it. Our student population is approximately 375 children. Upon leaving here, our students attend either North Carroll Middle School or Shiloh Middle School and then move on to North Carroll High School or Manchester Valley High School.
HES houses a Special Education Life Skills Program for the community.  We serve students with a variety of special needs for Ebb Valley, Manchester, Spring Garden, Sandymount, and Hampstead Elementary Schools. These services include Infant and Toddlers through fifth grade, as well as general education curricula. We also house itinerant special education staff that assist students and teachers at Hampstead and surrounding schools in meeting the needs of students.
Vision Statement
We willbe a high achieving community of life-long learners who demonstrate strong character and independent thinking.
