CultureGrams is a wonderful resource that is divided into four main sections: World Edition, Kids Edition, States Edition, and Provinces Edition. World Edition provides information on over 200 countries and includes maps, photos, statistics, and a glossary. The Kids Edition provides a “kid’s-eye-view” of over 90 countries, those that are the most common and popular in children’s reports. The States Edition is a fantastic resource and particularly useful for third grade students during their social studies state unit. The TumbleBook Library is a collection of animated, talking picture books, puzzles, games, and quizzes. TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books that have been licensed from children’s book publishers. Featured characters and stories include Caillou, Doreen Cronin’s Diary of a Worm, and Kevin O’Malley’s Miss Malarkey books. Stories can be read at your own pace.
