Hall of Fame

 

 

Francis Scott Key High School is seeking nominations for induction of the FSK Athletic Hall of Fame. We are seeking candidates who have exhibited outstanding contributions to the athletic programs of Francis Scott Key over the years. Exemplary scholarship and citizenship is also a prime consideration. Nominations are welcome for athletes as well as coaches and administrators who have contributed to the successes of FSK’s athletic programs.

            To nominate a qualified individual, please submit their full name, address, phone and/or email address along with a short summary of their accomplishments.   A committee of current coaches and staff will then narrow the field down to a smaller group who will then be sent a more detailed application form for further review.

College:                 Attended University of Virginia from 1972 to 1976 on an athletic

                                Captain of the freshman football team as linebacker
                                Moved up to Varsity during his freshman year and became honorable
                                Mention All-ACC
                                Sophomore year as nose guard made Second Team All-ACC
 
Ron was the founder of several financial services agencies, and those evolved into what is now Main Street Estate Group, Inc., a multi-disciplined estate planning firm in Westminster.   He also has co-founded the Carroll County Heritage Foundation, a non-profit foundation established to extend the historical and spiritual heritage of Carroll County by working with youth and their families in non-profit projects in the county.

            New sports added:       football, gymnastics, tennis, wrestling, to name a few
 
            New facilities:               football stadium, tennis courts, athletic fields and
      new gymnasium
 
Realizing the importance of athletics, he supported the program 100%.   Every effort was made to intertwine athletics and academics, knowing that the finished product would result in a well-rounded individual.
 
He made every effort to attend athletic contests, both home and away, including Regional and State competitions.   It was his hope that his support and enthusiasm would become contagious throughout the school and community.   The school can feel proud of its many accomplishments!
 
His personal achievement in athletics was related to baseball where he was scouted by several Major League teams.

Teresa graduated Towson University with “magna cum laude” honors. She directed the Cartwheel for Cancer fundraiser at Harford Gymnastics where they raised $5,000 for American Cancer Society and is currently the owner and director of Harford Gymnastics which provides over 1,000 children a week with fitness related activities.
