Welcome to the Freedom Elementary School Web Site! Freedom Elementary School is located in Eldersburg, Maryland. We were established in 1955 as an elementary school. Our enrollment is approximately 550 students in Grades K-5. We are one of twenty-three elementary schools in the Carroll County Public Schools. We hope that you will find our website useful. It is the mission of Freedom Elementary to provide an environment where all students become lifelong learners and productive citizens.

We believe learning is a lifelong process which includes the accumulation and application of skills and strategies through a variety of experiences and interactions.

We believe learning is most effective when differences in learner's prior knowledge, interests, and strengths are accommodated.

We believe learning goals must make sense to the teacher and the learner. There must be regular opportunities to see the value of what we are asked to learn, how it relates to past learning and how it relates to future learning.
