Read-a-Thons

Our Primary Fundraiser!

E.M.S. students gather together to read and to raise money for the media center and reading related programs.
The evening begins at 6:00 PM with registration and creating of "nesting locations" for the readers. Sixth and seventh grades all find their own spaces on the gym floor, while eighth graders take over the media center. Throughout the evening students have opportunities to read, have snacks, and win door prizes. The success of this evening is due in large part to the help of many teacher and parent volunteers.
