Purpose: To promote a deeper understanding of the science of astronomy at Century High School.

Membership: Open to all students

Information: Students will meet at least times a month (including at least one nighttime meeting) to learn the basics of astronomy, use of binoculars and telescopes, new discoveries in space, and advancements in the science. Occasional outside speakers will be invited to club meetings. Occasional filed trips will be arranged to the Planetarium at Bear Branch Nature Center, Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt and the Observatory at the University of Maryland.
