My experience at JHU/APL has been rewarding and enjoyable. Part of my job is to produce mathematical models for chemical process conversions and compare them to unrelated domains. I have learned a lot about professionalism and office dynamics.

Having an internship my senior year has been a great opportunity because I've acquired so many life skills that relate to business settings and professionalism. I'm also learning to manage my time wisely which will help me greatly in life after highschool. Overall, I would highly recommend an internship because it teaches so much that you can't learn in a classroom and it truly is an eye opener to the business world.

Not only does having an internship give students a head start in the world of work and a "one up" on other college applicants, but it also makes things more clear. As teenagers we have a hard enough time making up our minds and the lessons that we learn at our internships help to clear up the future a little more in terms of what our decisions will be.

My internship is great! I feel like I am truly getting a feel for not only the professional world, but the journalism world as well. My internship makes me feel like a responsible student. I feel like teachers respect me a little more because I took the extra initiative to start my professional resume. I definitely recommend an internship to anyone.
