Academies

Students at Century High School will be engaged in a rigorous academic curriculum with a career theme. This approach will enable them to see the link between what they learn in school and how their learning applies to the workplace and further education. To accomplish this in a smaller learning environment, four career academy programs have been established to provide a more focused program of study for each of our students.

Academy program activities include exploring career interests, incorporating cutting-edge technology, and participating in internships and partnerships with local businesses. Incorporated into all classes will be activities that will guide the development of character and other lifelong skills essential to future success. The curriculum at Century High School is based around four broad career academies which include:

AHC ARTS, HUMANITIES, AND COMMUNICATIONS
BIM BUSINESS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
HHSS HEALTH, HUMAN, AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
STEM SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH

Based on individual interests and guided by the family and school, students will choose an academy and select courses that provide them with opportunities to explore and become knowledgeable about a chosen area or career field.
