Guest Teaching
Information |
Carroll
County Public Schools is seeking applicants
for certified, degreed, and non-degreed Guest Teachers as well as Guest Nurses.
Guest
Teachers and Guest Nurses are required to attend an Orientation session
for the automated guest teacher/guest nurse calling system, and mandated procedures and protocol for dealing with:

Prevention of Sexual Harassment
-
Child Abuse/Neglect reporting
-
Student/Staff relations
-
Preventing Bloodborne Pathogens
-
Acceptable Telecommunications.
During the training, paperwork will be processed
and fingerprinting is completed. The automated
calling system, SubFinder ©, allows Guest Teachers and Guest Nurses
to choose the schools and subject areas for which
they will be called. The system also allows Guest Teachers/Guest Nurses
to block out days they may not be available. |

| All returning CCPS Employees, including Guest Teachers must attend a Refresher Compliance Training (also known as Volunteer Training) prior to September 30, 2007. of Pay for 2007/2008 School Year |

Carroll County pays guest teachers a daily
rate of pay as listed below:
Certificated: $105.00 per day. (Hourly rate is $15.00) **
Degreed: $85.00 per
day.(Hourly rate is $12.14) **
Non-Degreed: $78.00 per day. (Hourly rate is $11.14) **
Long Term Degreed: $90.00 per day. (10-20 consecutive
days in the same assignment retroactive to the first day.) **
Extended Long Term: $100.00 per day. (21
or more consecutive days in the same asssignment- not retroactive) **
**Instructional Assistant Substitute: $70.00 per day (Hourly rate is $10.00)
This pay rate does not change. It will always be the same regardless of the substitutes level (certified, degreed, non-degreed).
