Board Seeks Input on Course Changes in Proposed High School Program of Studies

 The Board of Education of Carroll County is seeking feedback from the community regarding course changes proposed in the High School Program of Studies 2009-2010. Specifically, the Board would like to receive input on a proposal to require students who are not in a Completer Program to complete Algebra/Data Analysis – Course 3. This proposed change would add a fourth credit in mathematics as a requirement for graduation from Carroll County Public Schools for students not in a state-approved Completer Program. Three mathematics credits are currently required for graduation.
Comments may be sent to by October 1, 2008. The proposed High School Program of Studies will be returned to the Board for action at its meeting on Wednesday, October 8, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in Room 007 of the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.
