The National Association of Secondary School Principals and the National Association of Elementary School Principals have declared October 2011 as National Principals Month. The purpose of this observance is to recognize the essential role that principals play in preparing today’s students for the challenges of tomorrow.
Principals set the tone for high expectations and a positive culture in their schools. According to Steve Johnson, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, “The principal is a hard working, dedicated educator committed to the wellbeing and success of each student.”
