Two teams of students from the Automotive Service Technology Programs at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center competed in the Ford / AAA Student Auto Skills Contest State Finals on Saturday, May 7, at the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville.
The competition involved diagnosing and repairing issues on a 2012 Ford Mustang. Crouse Ford of Taneytown graciously loaned a new Ford Mustang to the school to allow the competitors to become familiar with the vehicle.
The students involved in the competition were David Blanton from Manchester Valley High School, Tyler Seals from South Carroll High School, Nicolai Myers and Cody Van Vugt , both from Westminster High School. The two teams placed 5th and 8th out of a field of 10 teams.
