Students Qualify for National Championship Debate Tournament

Members of the Carroll County Debate League have qualified for the National Championship Tournament to be held in May in Washington, D.C. Carroll County filled all six spots for the Baltimore Diocese in Public Forum Debate, and Westminster High School won the overall sweepstakes award for Debate. The qualifiers are listed below:

Ian Casker and Laura Deyerberg

Maddie Lichtfuss and Haley Golden.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that Carroll County has produced the Champion in Public Forum Debate, and the second year in a row a school from Carroll County has closed out the Final Round with Co-Champions.
