Parent Information Nights to Focus on Cyberbullying and Internet Usage

Do you let your children talk to strangers? They are if they are on one of the social networking sites without the proper privacy settings, if they are communicating in chat rooms, or if they are gaming online without private party settings.
Find out how to keep your children safe from bullies and strangers at one of the following Cyberbullying and Internet Usage parent information nights:
Thursday, February 17, 2011 – 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.Piney Ridge Elementary School (cafeteria)(Snow date – March 10)Wednesday, February 23, 2011 – 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.Westminster Elementary School (cafeteria)(Snow date – March 1).
School counselors from area elementary schools and Anna Bible, Coordinator of Safe and Drug-Free Schools for Carroll County Public Schools, will present a program that will provide timely and important information on topics including social networking sites such as Facebook. The presentations are open to parents of students from elementary through college.
