South Carroll Student Designs Winning Flag for Youth Art Month

A flag designed by Kate Rodman, a junior at South Carroll High School, won first place in the 2011 Youth Art Month Flag Contest sponsored by The Council for Art Education. Her design depicts the contest theme, "Art Shapes the World!"
The design is being made into a 3 by 5 foot flag and will be on display at the Youth Art Month flag ceremony to be held at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC in March. The flag also will be displayed at the Youth Art Month Museum at the national conference in Seattle.
Beth Payne is the visual art teacher at South Carroll.
