Francis Scott Key High School to Host Northwest Regional Night for Parents

Francis Scott Key High School will be hosting Northwest Regional Night, an education seminar for the parents of students in Pre-K through grade 12 about life after school, on Thursday, January 20, 2011, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
There will be presentations on a variety of pertinent issues for parents of elementary, middle, and high school students. Sessions will be held on the following topics:

A Keynote Panel presentation for all parents will take place at 7:15 p.m. The panel will include representatives from Carroll Community College, McDaniel College, Evapco, Inc., US Army Reserve Westminster Recruiter Station, and Advanced Educational Consulting, as well as a school counselor and academic facilitator from Francis Scott Key High School.
In addition, there will be a fine arts showcase featuring an art show and performances by the Francis Scott Key High School Madrigals, dance performers, and jazz band. A representative from the Carroll County Public Library will be on hand throughout the evening to provide information on online tutoring and library cards.
