Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations for Outstanding Teacher Awards

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the twenty-second annual Outstanding Teacher Awards. The deadline for nominations is January 3, 2011.
The Outstanding Teacher Awards recognize the men and women of the Carroll County Public School System who represent excellence in the teaching profession. Any full-time elementary, middle, high school, career and technology, special education teacher, counselor, or media specialist in the Carroll County Public School System is eligible for nomination. Any parent, student, fellow teacher, or school administrator may submit a nomination.
Nomination forms may be submitted electronically through the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce website at http://carrollcountychamber.org/ota.html. The form also is available on the Carroll County Public Schools website at:
Forms must be received (not just postmarked) by Monday, January 3, 2011, before 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber office located at 700 Corporate Center Court, Suite L, Westminster, MD 21157. Nominations received after 5:00 p.m. on this date will not be considered. Please do not mail or deliver nomination forms to Carroll County Public Schools.
Nominators are urged to nominate teacher(s) who have made a difference in their lives or a student’s life and to give specific examples of the teacher’s impact and fully answer the form’s three questions. These questions are the basis for selecting the Chamber’s eight Outstanding Teachers who will receive an award at the reception and awards program on March 23, 2011. These teachers will be eligible for the Carroll County Teacher of the Year Award presented by Carroll County Public Schools. The awards are sponsored by members of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
