Francis Scott Key FFA Teams Perform Well at National FFA Event

The Dairy Cattle and Livestock Evaluation teams of the Francis Scott Key High School FFA represented the Maryland FFA Association at the Career Development Events held in conjunction with the National FFA Convention.
The Dairy Cattle Evaluation Team of Collins Lethbridge, Joseph Coshun, Brianne Hevner, and Kaitlyn Dudley placed 18th out of 42 teams from across the United States to receive Silver recognition. Individually, Lethbridge and Coshun received Gold awards, Hevner received Silver, and Dudley took Bronze in the competition.
The Livestock Evaluation Team of Lukas Ziegler, Samantha Anthony, Clark Anthony, and Phyllis McKenzie placed 20th out of 44 teams representing the United States and Puerto Rico as they received Silver recognition. Ziegler received a Gold award as he placed 10th overall and 3rd in beef cattle, and Samantha Anthony received Silver. Clark Anthony and McKenzie received Bronze for their performance.
Both competitions included a written exam specific to management practices and knowledge of their respective animal industry, as well as evaluation of live animals with oral reasons.
