Education Matters – Superintendent of Schools Stephen Guthrie shares the good news about Carroll County’s graduation rate, asks the community to consider applying for a position on the school system’s Audit Committee, and explains why more people should take advantage of the town meetings.

 

Students Are Talking – Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Steve Johnson hosts students from Westminster and Francis Scott Key High Schools discussing the hot topic of bullying.  Is it widespread in our schools?  How are students dealing with it?  Check out what students Kara Barmoy, Angie Bladen, Gabe Hohman, and Shobhit Kumar have to say about what students, parents, and the school system can do to prevent bullying.

 

CETV Newsmakers: On the Positive Side – In the October episode, see how Manchester Elementary School is promoting peace with their Pinwheels for Peace initiative.  Get prepared for Fire Prevention Week with Taneytown Elementary School students and the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Department.  Join Carroll County elementary schools as they take part in Project ACES, starting with a special visit from a Baltimore Ravens player at Manchester Elementary School, as well as Fun Runs at Charles Carroll and Cranberry Station Elementary Schools. Finally, check out the Runnymede Elementary School Honors Chorus as they celebrate National Anthem Day.
