Release Date: 9/21/2010 1:59:01 PM
Two students from Westminster High School – junior Brett Potter and senior Dillon McGuire – were selected to have their artwork featured at the Maryland Invitational Exhibit. This juried exhibit includes the works of three dozen Maryland high school students from ten public school systems.
All selected works are hung in the lobby of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Education Building at the United States Department of Education. The exhibit provides visual artists and their teachers the opportunity to display their creative work in a highly public place that honors their work as an effective path to learning. The exhibit opened on Monday, September 20, 2010 and will run through October 29th.
Both Potter and McGuire were enrolled in art courses taught by Mr. Jim Roberts at Westminster High School.
