Release Date: 9/13/2010 10:46:16 AM
Steve Bowersox, social studies teacher at Westminster High School, has worked with Kojak Graphic Communications to create a 2011 wall calendar based on Westminster High School in World War II. The purpose of the calendar is to honor the students of Westminster High School who put their lives on hold and went off to serve their country during the war, as well as all the people who stayed at home and endured the sacrifices that were required from ordinary citizens during the war.
According to Bowersox, “Over 650 students from Westminster High School, both male and female, participated in World War II. The school’s alumni were in every engagement from Pearl Harbor through the fighting in the Pacific, D-Day, and the Battle of the Bulge.”
Please visit http://www.kojakstore.com/whsclassof2012.html to preview some of the photos from the calendar and to place an order. The cost of the calendar is $13.99 plus tax and shipping.
