Carroll County Public Schools Launches New Student Information System
Release Date: 7/28/2010 3:10:53 PM
Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, the Carroll County Public School System will be using a new student information system called eSchoolPLUS. The new system replaces the previous student information system, which has been discontinued.
eSchoolPLUS, which is a web-based system, will allow the school system to communicate in a more timely manner with parents about student achievement. Parents will be receiving log-in information during Back to School Nights in their individual schools.
In the beginning, parents will be able to access information such as student demographics, attendance, transcripts, and test scores. In the future, additional information such as assignments, progress reports, report cards, and test grades will be available.
According to Superintendent of Schools Stephen Guthrie, “Thanks go to staff across our school system for their hard work over this past year to move hundreds of thousands of pieces of data to the new system. This new student information system will expand and enhance our ability to track student achievement, report student progress to parents, and provide required data to the Maryland State Department of Education. As we grow into the new system, we will be unveiling new features designed to give parents more access to their child's academic record."
