Schools to Observe Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week
Release Date: 5/19/2010 12:09:26 PM
The week of May 24-28, 2010 has been designated as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week in Maryland.
Much has been done in the state and in Carroll County to put policies in place that prohibit bullying and harassment at school. School systems and schools have instituted policies and programs to prevent and intervene in bullying and harassment.
During this week, the Carroll County Public School System will concentrate on bringing a heightened awareness to this very important issue. Individual schools have been encouraged to have focused activities on bullying or to reflect on activities that have already taken place. The goal of these activities is to increase awareness and educate students on the harms of bullying and appropriate responses to bullying situations.
