Board of Education Seeks Input on Proposed Revisions to School Calendar
Release Date: 4/15/2010 2:00:46 PM
The Board of Education of Carroll County is seeking feedback on a proposal to revise the 2010-2011 school calendar in favor of a longer spring break. Due to a pending agreement with the teachers’ bargaining unit, schools no longer need to be closed for students on the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
Therefore, the Board is reviewing a proposal to hold school the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving and use those days to increase the spring break which occurs over the Easter holiday. The proposed revisions to the calendar are posted on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org under Resources/Board Items for Feedback.
