Board Meeting and Budget Hearing Rescheduled for Wednesday, February 17

The Board of Education of Carroll County has rescheduled its regular monthly meeting for Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. Citizen participation for the regular monthly meeting will begin at approximately 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be held in Room 007 of the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.
 
The Superintendent’s public hearing on the proposed FY11 operating budget will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. To ensure that there is adequate time to address all budget topics, the Superintendent will be observing the following guidelines during Citizen Participation at the budget hearing:
  • Citizens will be given up to three minutes to speak.
  • The Superintendent reserves the right to limit testimony on each budget item to five speakers. This will allow time for public comment on all budget topics.
  • Citizens may not display signs or posters. In lieu of signs, individuals are encouraged to submit written comments to the Board and the Superintendent.
The budget hearing will be held in Room 007 of the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.
