Workshop on Accommodations and Modifications for Special Education Students

The Carroll County Partners for Success Center will offer an informal discussion of accommodations and modifications for special education students on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carroll Springs School in Westminster.
The discussion is designed for teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, and special education team members. Participants will learn the difference between accommodations and modifications, see what accommodations look like on the statewide IEP, and become familiar with teacher and parent tools that can be used to determine necessary accommodations. Tool and fact sheets from the Maryland Accommodations Manual will be used for hands-on activities. Light refreshments will be served.
