Liberty Robo-Lions Join with Astronauts to Celebrate Marylandís Place in Space

The Liberty High School Robotics Team, also known as the Robo-Lions, will help “Celebrate Maryland’s Place in Space” on Saturday, May 30, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center. They will join over 100 exhibitors, astronauts, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, and many others to honor the contributions that have been made in the areas of space science.
The Robo-Lions, who were sponsored in part by NASA the past three years, will be participating in the thrilling robotics competition which will just be one of the many activities during the fun-filled day. There will also be multimedia presentations, astronauts, interactive exhibits and more. Part of the Robo-Lions’ mission is to help create a world where science and technology are celebrated. Saturday’s events are sure to do just that while offering fun for all ages.
